Players World of Sports has a long-standing history as an independent, family-owned business, proudly serving the local Hilton Head Island community since 1982.
Our Story
Players World of Sports was acquired in 2023 by long-time family friends and business partners - Daryl and Kathy Daye of Bluffton, SC, and Jeff and Heather Yakes of Hardeeville, SC.
Daryl and Kathy were D1 athletes at LSU, (football and gymnastics, respectfully). Jeff is a former basketball, soccer, and baseball athlete, and Heather is a former World Champion baton twirler. All four share not only the love of sports but have a passion for an active lifestyle and a commitment to their local community as residents in the Hilton Head area.
